Ah...haha! Well, I didn't want to post any and assume anyone wanted to attempt to help make some IDs until I had blooming photos.

I am looking for 11 IDs and one confirmation.

Starting with the confirmation...

Rumor has it (I know it isn't really a rumor) that Katherine Lewis is a sport of a Halcyon seedling. I have had Katherine Lewis for a number of years, but need to move her to a more ideal location.

Do I just separate these two and start calling the new side shoots Halcyon? (I made the ID tag so I wouldn't forget to follow up on this)

I've never had this happen before. It's kind of exciting. ha!

It is a very cloudy day here, so it's extra dark in the already shady backyard. A full plant shot shows a better, truer color.

I remember D now, and I suspected F and G.

I'm. Afraid I really don't know what A is. Is it a weed? LOL!

Plant D is more likely Plantaginea if it has very fragrant flowers. Royal Standard has lightly fragrant flowers, is usually lighter green, and the flowers are on the large side, but not huge like Plantaginea. RS is a hybrid of Plantaginea, so they are somewhat similar, but the bloom size is quite different.

Is Plant A brighter in the spring? If so, it may be Chinese Sunrise.

Thank you, dhaven... Yes plant A is brighter in the spring. It's even brighter now. It was very gloom and doom yesterday.

ETA: argh... yes, I remember asking about plant D a long time ago and the discussion had been between RS and Plantaginea. As soon as Plantaginea was mentioned, I had remembered there being a tag for one of the plants way back when. For whatever reason, I did not mark any of them after that. Gotta get on it. :D

My user account was rubybaby43, I believe.

IIRC, I just used my email at the time, and then signed every post with my first name. I don't remember if the old Garden web forums allowed for signatures. It has seriously been at least 6 or 7 years for me. :)

ETA: During my first go round at GardenWeb, in the hosta forum, I remember an older gentleman, I believe he was in Canada and I think his user name was papillon(something). I vaguely recall him becoming ill and possibly his wife posting to let the forum members know that he had passed.

I don't know why I bring this up. I suppose I am feeling somewhat reflective, at the moment. And I don't remember exactly when I first joined GardenWeb - possibly sometime around 2003 or 2004. But sometime not long after that, my husband found out he had cancer and being a part of this forum was a nice reprieve for me.

Anyway, I tried searching for my old account... I can't find it. The site has changed SO much. How long ago did Houzz acquire the GardenWeb forum?

A year or two ago. Many posters have moved to FaceBook, that non-searchable conversation that disappears.

You may be thinking of Papou. I believe he passed away in 2009. His gardens were spectacular.

I am thinking of Papou. Thank you for remembering that. Regardless of the fact that I could not recall his user name, he did leave an impression on me.
