Hi there! So I have been selling vegetables from my home-based farm for a couple years now. Lucky for us in Texas, we are exempt from regulations when selling directly to the consumer. Recently I have grown in size which would give me the ability to produce enough for resturant and grocery sales. In the past there has been no need to package or "process" (according to texas), but now I would need to. Can anyone tell me what licences/permits and requirements I would have to meet? I have already contacted my county, who have no clue what is required, and TDA seems to have dificulty in responding. Hoping some of you are producing for texas grocery and resteraunts, and could give me advice on start up. Thank you.
