Amber sap on branch :(

This is the lime with the weird brownish red baby fruit. I went back to see how they were doing and this glowing droplet of amber sap caught my eye! Google tells me it is an incurable canker?!?! Tell me it isn't so!! Oh, the drama in my yard!

unless you have a sprinkler leak, or are sure that there is a soggy mess near / at the rootball, this could be just an isolated response to a strong growth spurt.

If you have a leak / soggy condition and / or want to be safe, go ahead and grab a small bottle of Agri-Fos and mix that in ~ 1/2 to 1 Tablespoon per gallon ratio. Based on the height and in the ground, if dry, then I'd water with regular water until the soil is wet several inches down... then apply 3-4 gallons of the mix to the root ball/ feeder roots.

Google phytosphora gummosis, a citrus disease. I treated my satsuma and doing fine but don't know if problem is forever eradicated.

FYI, spider mites and webbing are visible in the pic, may need some insecticidal soap too

Hmm, I have been overwatering to compensate for the bubblers being off and the increasing heat. Will let it dry out a bit! Bklyn, thanks for the heads up on the critters! I'll spray it tomorrow with the insecticidal soap!
