Meyer lemon recently planted, now has yellowing leaves

Hi all

I planted a Meyer lemon in my yard about six weeks ago. It looked great when it was planted but now the leaves have turned lime green/yellow (see photo below). At first I thought I might be watering too much (I would give it a good soak every 3-4 days) so I stopped doing that. Haven't watered it for over a week and the soil still feels a little moist. I am in the SF East Bay Area where the soil tends to have a lot of clay. By the way the little yellow things under the tree in the picture are plums from a tree that hangs overhead.

Any help would be much appreciated! I don't want to lose it!

Thanks.
