Back splash ideas for round wall

I have a large rounded galley kitchen, having a black and copper old world style range hood made, I want to keep the walls open for shelves and copper pots, the counter is a granite with black cream gold copper with a bit of sparkle, could use some ideas for back splash that is in style and won't break the bank. I am thinking of having the welder make one out of metal to match the range hood with rivets
