Anyone know what this is?

Hi - I was hoping someone might be able to identify this small shrub. We had one die and would like to replace it, but we are having no luck finding a match. Unfortunately, we did not plant it originally, so we have no idea what it is. It is compact, maybe 2'x3' with a purplish green leaf.

Any help would be much appreciated!

If pink flowers = weigela. If yellow flowers = deirvilla. In general, I would say that the dark leaved forms of weigela are much more frequently planted/encountered than is the diervilla.
