Well I have a dog just under 10 pounds and have never giver her anything to chew on..my step dad gave his 13 pounder deer antlers and the dog chewed slivers of it off. Thankfully Alphie was ok, but the vet said many a dog has gotton blockages and or tears in their gastro tract from antlers. If it was me I wouldn't risk it.

I have heard that they are too hard and can break dogs' teeth. I think they could cause unnecessary wear, but that's just my opinion.
