Ideas for above console table

Help!! Suggestions for on the wall above the console table. Would like ideas for tabletop decorations for dining table? Console and side cabinets needs extras as well.

I would look for a piece of artwork to add some color into the space. It feels like you have a lot of furniture in a small space. Is it possible to move on the chests? I would look for a mirror or a piece of artwork that has warm colors in it to go with the area rug and remove some of the accessories to create some cleaner lines.

Yes this helps! I am up for moving one of these pieces... the higher piece is my husbands( long story) and will stay

console table is 50 inches... what size and shape mirror would you recommend?

i would then get a smaller vase and lower the flowers and smaller candlestick holders

Single large horizontal painting -- at least 36 inches. I'd take everything else off that console, then, as the pieces are creating visual chaos with your chandelier...

The lines of the chandelier and buffet accessories interfere with each other. It's hard to appreciate one or the other. I like the plan of mirror/art and shorter/reduced decor. I think more lively sconces would look nice as well. Good luck!

How about putting your husbands high chest where the buffet is now...the scounce lights with be more even with the top and then put your buffet where the chest is now....the other one being moved out. Then put the lamp on your buffet that was on the chest you moved out and a pretty bowl or box with it. The centerpiece on your table needs more color....how about putting something orange on the buffet, an orange bowl on the table and a orange candle in the candlestick on your husbands wooden high chest. Aqua or blue to match your rug colors would be nice also.

You have too many pieces of wood furniture in that space. And none of what you do have works scale/size-wise. So assuming you have to keep the dining table, I would get rid of the three other pieces (the console table and the two chests). You need a bigger side board/buffet for that back wall where the console table is currently. Then I would put a lamp on either side of it with art hanging on the wall in the middle. Upgrade the chandelier and the wall scones.

Thanks for the suggestions! I will move the other cabinets so they are not up against that main long wall
Otherwise... I really would like to keep the console and dining table where they are
I know console along the wall is not long enough for that wall.... any economical ideas to bring the shortness of the console and current sconces together to make it flow???
