Holy cow, NYC is getting SEVERE T-storms!

There is 1-2 inches of rain forecast. We've had horrific thunder and lightning, even hail. Fortunately I haven't seen any hail damage to my garden. There are flash floods everywhere. I was doing some laundry and our development's laundry room had an inch of water on the floor. It's only 6:36 p.m. now, sundown isn't til about 8:30. But it's black as coal outside right now. There are also marine warnings out. I expect to hear booms of thunder any time now, the radio is crackling. Everyone in this storm zone, BE CAREFUL!

    We got at least 1.25" of rain tonight, and it's still raining lightly. Whew, that thunder was like bombs going off. I just made it back into my home before the storm hit, and shooed my neighbors out from under the tree in the front yard. Looks like my garden did not get mashed by the hail, thank goodness. Michaela, hope you stay safe, too.
