Please post photos of rooms, furniture, bedding fabrics, art. Everything that will be in the room/rooms. Would love to offer recommendations!

What does the bed frame look like? You have a pretty clean slate to do anything. Not much furniture there?

Not much. It's a white Ikea platform with drawers on the bottom. My old furniture is a dark wood loft bed. We are either going to sell it or cut the loft-y part off and use it as a normal bed in the guest room. Otherwise I have a dark wood bookshelf and desk that will go in the bonus room. As far as art goes, I don't have really any. (>.<)

This is fun. Do you mean to tell me you have not been to the paint store browsing colors. You will get so excited. I would use the relaxing color on the walls and the vibrant as accents. It is often suggested that you start by buying new bedding.

I got samples of some colors that I saw on pinterest but like a dodo, I forgot to buy something to put it on the wall with. :: sigh :: I was looking at like blue greens and plain ole blues, but you would laugh if you had seen me at Home Depot with my phone. "That doesn't match it's too green. Oh, this one is too blue. That one is too light." I saw some colors that I liked if I had had to go with pale colors, originally we were going to rent out this house so that was the condition for painting the room, but now I can go BOLD! xD I'm scared that my colors will make the room look smaller or that they will be too dark. I liked some of these colors, but again, they scared me a little too. (>.<)

When I think Greek Isle bedroom I'm imagining blue, white and natural wood. It would be good if you started collecting photos of rooms you like and bedding you like. The reason you want to start with bedding is that paint color can be mixed to match anything. Not so with textile. I also suggest you not limit yourself in style so early as you may fall in love with something that will change your goal. For example, Do either of these bedding appeal to you?

Interestingly, you have simple blue bedding and your white bed is somewhat like the one pictured in this Greek/Med. styled room.

Exactly, emmarene is correct. Find your bedding first. Then post pics and everyone will assist you on the paint and deco.

The bedding right now is just what we had in the house. But it's soft so I like it. xD I'll look at some bedding sets, that will definitely give me something to work off of. I never thought to start there.

Look at lots of photos on Houzz for inspiration. Serene and restful usually means light colors, but you can use darker colors on your wall. The key is to keep the color muted so it stays sophisticated. Color is very personal so it is hard for someone to choose for you. You do need to keep in mind how the walls will look with the color of your floors. You may want to use a light, restful color, or even white, on your walls, so you can use vibrant color on your bedding, artwork, and accessories.

The best trick my designer I work with suggested is to paint the ceiling the same color as the walls. What happens is it explodes the size of the room open. The lighter the color the better. You can do an accent wall of color but stay light on that color too. It may take 3 coats for the ceiling but well worth the time. Also popcorn ceilings get really dirty overtime so painting it will offer a surprising pick me up to the room.

Absolutely paint the popcorn ceiling, even if you just want it white. It makes a huge difference. Use caution when dusting if off, please read article below.
