Shade garden plants wilting

Hi, I noticed about 3 days ago the leaves on one branch of my currant plant were wilting. These were just at the top. Today I noticed that all my coral bell leaves and now some hosta leaves are experiencing the same thing. I don't see signs of aphids (however I'm no expert, I just don't see bugs), but there is a sticky like substance on the hosta plants. Does anyone have any idea what this is, and any organic methods of treatment? Thank you so much!
