I purchased this rug at the end of last season and kept it indoors until a couple of weeks ago waiting for the warm weather. i put it on a covered porch and after a rain, the rug wont dry and has mold growing and a sticky film. i checked and it says rug can be used outdoors but i dont see how.

    Hi, emkmarblehead

Thank you for this question. If the rug is on non ventilated surface (such as concrete), moisture is not allowed to migrate through the rug which will cause moisture to stand. As for the current state of the rug, you can use a mild soap and water to clean away the mold residue, then allow the rug to dry in a well ventilated area with plenty of sunlight (such as allowing the rug to hang over a railing to dry). After a heavy rain, re-cleaning should not be necessary, but you may need to allow the rug to dry in this manner again. Periodic cleaning of this item is always recommended.

    Thank you for reaching out!

Rug was on an outdoor deck. Unfortunately the rug is very plush which would
be a good if it were to be used indoors.
