"Odd Man Out"

Hi everyone - I was checking out some of my Neoregelia seedlings last
week and came across this plant of Neoregelia ‘Black Onyx’ x ‘Nelson’ which is
certainly the "odd man out".

Like several other Neoregelias such as 'Bird Rock', 'Red
Fleck', spectabilis etc, its main attraction
isn't apparent until viewed from the side or below.

It should look good as a
basket specimen though where the colours beneath the foliage can be more easily viewed, but I just have to find somewhere to hang it.

Certainly not everyone's "cup of tea" but I like
it.
