I love bearded irises, not a fan of the siberian iris foliage. I like the red Iris, but don't know if they are good performers. I also love the peach colored Iris, but don't know much about them either!! When I say peach, I mean I see some that are almost tan...not so much pink. I saw one I liked called 'Clash'

I don't think you would have a problem with any of the bearded iris, some of the new ones tend to be a bit more delicate.

Clash I think is an sdb iris, very small and you wouldn't be able to see it well from the road, although I guess you could have a huge mass. Would make more of a ground cover. I have Honey Glazed that is similar & is an intermediate, does very well here. I prefer intermediates in a way, not quite as big and showy as tall beardeds, but don't tend to flop. Saturday Night Live is a red tall bearded iris that catches everyone's eye in my garden. Rio Rojo is another deep red I like. Coral Point does well, might be a brighter color than you like? Habit is a very dramatic looking iris. There are just so many bearded iris, & almost all I have ever had have done really well. You might look and choose some you like & then ask here how they do for other people. Some iris in my garden may not bloom every year, & I suspect that it just takes 2 years for them to grow large enough to bloom. Edith Wolford is one that does that, & I've heard other people say the same. But there are plenty that look a lot like Edith, who needs it?

Thank you so much for your response!! I didn't realize Clash was small--that wont work. I think the red would look really good, I will check out that rio rojo. I REALLY like that coral point....thank you again. This is exactly what I needed.

Just to be thorough, you do know the season of interest of a TBI is very very short? A more varied bed might be nicer for longer.

dbarrn--I do. I have a bed with a rhododendron in it, catmint, and then annuals I Plant like snapdragon. I just want to pop some Iris in there for greenery as well!
