I googled your plant name, and went to images and a lot of them look like your plant, which does resemble a certain kind of pepp. I would hold off on id until someone with better Hoya ID eyes than I have comes along. Fingers crossed for you!

I agree with Peperomia, too. Obtusifolia, it looks like. Years ago, I bought another Pep thinking it was a Hoya at first... Here's a link to a photo to give you an idea of how much it looks like a Hoya. I'd be getting in contact with that seller and either getting my money back or at the very least, tell them to sell it under the right name.

I really should confess, when I see photos of Hoya australis "Lisa" I always think it looks like a peperomia (don't shoot me!)

It does. I know it's supposed to be the variegated version of ssp. tenuipes, but it seems way to succulent for that to be so. And so far for me, the growth habit has been nothing like ssp. tenuipes. Just my opinion.

It's the growth habit, I agree. It's just so.. short and leafy (says me in real legit scientific terms and all :D )
