LProphecy is beautiful - they all are...pristine and beautiful. The current size of it would be a perfect addition for me, lol. I really love the look of yours.

Some slow growers can be encouraged to grow faster in more sun exposure...as they are grown in open fields by many vendors who want to rush them in order to sell them earlier.

I have Lakeside Cupcake, L. Shore Master, L. Paisley Print, and L. Dragonfly, in that order. Will go out, get current pictures taken, and add them to my post. :-)

Thanks for the kind words Jo. Sorry to hear about LS. shoremaster....a mature one is a sight to behold. Your LS Dragon fly looks great. LS Paisley Print was slow this year for me as well. Not picture worthy. Maybe next year....

Last year, with the epic drought we had in S. ON. was tough on hostas that were in my drier, shadier beds (i.e. foundation and cherry tree).

My S&S, jade cascade, El Nino, ls cha cha fire island all shrank considerably. I moved them and there was lots of crown and root damage on them. ( the cherry tree roots were very invasive) hopefully they will flourish in their new spots.

My cherry garden is shade of its former glory. Put all my super tough common hosta in there (plantigenea, royal Standard, lanceafolia, etc. etc. ) way too many "blah" boring plants..

Jade Cascade really hurt. It was close to showing mature form last year. This year looks like a 2nd year plant.....

Sorry to say I only have one of these beautiful hosta - Lakeside Dividing line just planted, They are all such nice plants. Jim, I particularly like Lakeside Cha Cha, Love that color combo. Jo, Lakeside Cup Cake caught my eye right away. Hoping Lakeside Shore Master makes a comeback, Jo.

I too feel the disappointment, Jim as I also looked forward in anticipation to one of mine, LPP this year, its third. Rosedale Golden Goose looks like a mini (still in pot) and so does Made You Look, among a few others. I am sure it is weather related, last summer and the late, wet, cold spring. This is the first year I experienced so many disappointments....not used to that, lol.

Thanks, Donna! I'd like to see Dividing Line.... LCupcake seemed to get sunburned a lot when it was younger (2015 Mother's Day) but looks good right now. I'd say it is vigorous and leaves are larger than I thought they would be. LSM should recover hopefully, thank you, as it looks pretty good. I think I cleaned it up in time.

My LS Cha Cha came up smaller last year and tiny this year. I heard when I bought it that it wasn't a good grower, needs water, and was that ever true!! I should have taken the words to heart instead of planting at the back of a bed with too little water. Oops.

Some great looking Lakesides. Agree about Lakeside Cha Cha. I've had two... lost one and can't get the other to grow.

mbug--your LPP is very interesting. The variegated centers are consistently much more narrow than is typical for LPP. There is enough difference that this one might qualify as a sport and could be registered. There is a range of variegation in this hosta, but yours is the most extreme I've seen, and quite attractive.

LPP is a slow grower, and is always late to come up in the spring. It will benefit from a good deal of sun.

I have two, LS Cupcake and LS Paisley Print. I too had trouble with LS Paisley Pint the first winter - I thought it wouldn't come back, but it did. It came back this year, its second winter even better. (please excuse hail damage)

Jo, Lakeside Dividing Line is finally standing on its own. It will grow into a medium size mound.

I have Lakeside Paisley Print. This was planted as a starter plant in 2015 and it's a slow grower. In fact, earlier this Spring I thought it wasn't going to come back at all. I saw Lakeside Cupcake at a garden center on Monday and may go back for it. It was adorable.

Donna, thanks for posting the pics! Those leaves look long and the hosta itself is a looker! Love clean lines and how upright it looks.

Dhaven, I am always interested in reading your perspective and the comment about sunlight benefiting LPP is so true. Mine has been getting lots of it and I think given time, it may catch up. I'm also battling my own impatience, lol.

I am loving these Lakesides! But I can't possibly put them all on my wish list---could I? I only have two---Lakeside Paisley Print and Lakeside Love Affaire. Last year my LPP (new) had a wide variegated center. This year the center is much narrower. I am going to have to find a spot for it in more sun and see what happens next year.

I bought Lakeside Love Affaire in 2015 after seeing it in a private garden. Mine doesn't look like the one I saw, but it has surprised me by producing large attractive leaves.

Wow that Love Affair is a beauty! I love the three white center and two shades of green.

Does LS Paisley Print developer a narrower variation as it matures? That's what seems to be the variable, bigger clumps have narrower centers.

That's a good question Kathy! I am going be on the lookout for LPP when I visit some private gardens.

I got mine from Jim's hostas 4 or 5 years ago. Very small varigation in the middle now
