I have made a few purchases directly from the hostas-store, and I have not been disappointed in anyway. I stumbled upon the website last year looking for online hostas sellers that ship. (not sure I can leave reviews for the seller if I did not buy from ebay but I would give rave reviews, too.)

I love the sizes he sells (the hostas are not liners or pipsqueaks), the healthy quality (leaf and roots) and the different variety of hostas. I have been pleased each time I have purchased from hostas-store. The plus factors are the $ values for the size, the care of packaging, and the shipping.

All of the hostas that I have purchased have thrived... even through my newbie ways last year.

I thought it was better than Christmas when I saw those boxes and the way they were packed. The roots all washed and packaged so beautifully, and still 'crisp' - no drooping at all. I've been out there for a few hours, but don't have them all planted yet. I dug out sod near my main Japanese Maple bed, and am putting some of them (for now) in from of a low stone wall surrounding that bed. I want them in the ground for the rain tomorrow and part of Saturday.

A few will go here in the River Birch garden among the shade lovers. I have since edged ths one but no mulch yet. That River Birch bed is below in a view out my bedroom window from May, when we'd had a week of rain. That's my shed on the left with the aptly named 'Shed Garden' in front. I bought my 1937 Cape in 1986 when the back yard was a ravine full of dying trees, and worked long and hard to make it the way it is today. I love 'my' river that flows against my property. :-)

What a pretty sink full of hostas. They all look good. Love your river! I've always thought it might be nice to live close to a river or stream. I have river and garden shed envy! lol.

Your property is lovely. I'm green with envy. I love the Japanese maple garden with the dry-stack wall, planter and bird house. So cool. And that overhead view is just well...not fair!

Totally love how you design your beds. What are those pink flowers on the pic with maples, also is that green jap maple going to stay this dwarf?

lindalana, those pink plants are old azaleas that don't get the light they would like to have, so are very sprawling. I trimmed the left one up when I did some cleaning in the bed Wednesday PM in preparation for planting day yesterday. The one on the right is gone, but I do have an old Bleeding Heart that peeks through. This is that bed this AM in the rain -

The 'multi-unit' birdhouse is temporarily on top of the granite birdbath. The white stones that are sitting on the stone wall for now are pieces of white and rose quartz from a mine in Albany, Maine, where we had a camp when I was growing up. They'd been buried back in the bed, and I'll decide what to do with them. I re-edged the sod in front that bed to give me a border to plant some of the hosta, so I could get them in the ground for now.

I planted the JMs approx. 10 years ago, and they have FLOURISHED! I have more at various spots in the yard and they all do well here. This pic was taken this AM of a front border, and you see the JMs there left of center. There is a hidden pathway to the left of the JMs, and granite steps that go down to my 'puppy pen' in a lower part of the yard. I have always had Brittanys, and the current three are rescues, and any future ones will be. They have doggie doors to get into their 60 x 80 part of the yard, which is hidden behind 6 ft cedar fence.

To show how well the JMs do, this was 7/16/16, when I was planting hosta in the shed garden. The JM on the right has grown so much that you cannot see any of those hosta, unless you crawl in under the JM now.I had a week's vacation at that time, and it was SO hot that this was my setup -

Amazing yard gorgeous hostas and JM's. The shipping on that website is amazing. I've bought a bunch on the Auction that have doubled in price due to the shipping. Can't beat the quality and size.

Your place is amazing and those JMs are to-die-for! They are finicky here. I bought my first one this year to see if I can get one to stay.

Your cottage is adorable, like a story book. And I love the undulating shape of your beds. I really need to get a better handle on curved beds myself.

I also like your "setup" for the hot sunny day. I have one of those patio umbrellas I found in the trash that I use the same way when I'm outside gardening on hot days. I jab it into the ground and sit under it.

Anyway, I just love your place.
