where are you? it really depends on your climate, for what plants to grow. typically in summer i try to grow most of my vegetables in the shade, or at least part shade. like under a coconut tree, or shaded by some other plants. my habanero plant is about 2 years old and in full sun. maybe water those plants more. my bell peppers were wilty yesterday when i came home, watered em and they were just fine this morning. i live in puna and weve been in a drought, so ive got to water

I'm downtown Honolulu in a condo so all my plants are in pots. My habanero just took off when I moved it into the shade of one of my aloe plants (they seem to love full sun). So maybe I'll just have to have vegetable plants in my little pockets of shade.

If you have room, you might try tomatoes. And if you have LOTS of room, try zucchini.

I have some tomatoes. They are doing okay (I've never been good at growing them in pots). Zucchini is a good idea...I think I'll give it a try.
