Complimentary Tile for master bath

Hello! I am considering this mosaic tile for the feature wall of our spa shower in the master bath. Our bathroom is pretty standard 5 x 8 ft and we are looking for a luxurious yet budget friendly reno in a contemporary/modern style. I like the idea of tiling the rest of the bathroom 2 walls and floor in a neutral 12 x 24 tile that would compliment the mosaic shown below. I appreciate all your comments and suggestions!

We used something similar in this soap box we did... Worked out great in my opinion

Love the idea that you are considering.. That tile would make a great feature wall. Emser has a really nice contemporary field tile that would work nice with that deco. Its called perspective. Daltile then has the metal fushion series. http://products.daltile.com/series.cfm?series=234&item=3458&type=porcelain

I like the tile, also. But, coincidentally, I just came from seeing a new kitchen and my friend used this in her kitchen as a back-splash. It is very, very busy. Have you seen an entire wall done in this tile?

Paul, that size is about what I saw today. Do you think an entire wall would not be busy? I do like it.

@JudyG I'm all for feature walls ... I do them very often and even with full tile they look great. If you look through some of my photos , there is a whites bathroom with a full black mosaic walls

In my opinion it looks stunning

Used a similar tile with 12x24 white subway tile (applied on the vertical) on the other two walls. It was a budget friendly solution, but the updated bathroom looked anything but "budget". It also depends what other elements you bring to the bathroom. Apply the high/low principal.

Paul, the feature wall is exactly what I had in mind. Your design is lovely, thanks for sharing.

I've seen a few comments and pictures that suggest white would make this wall pop? If I were to go with a cement gray, do you think that would make the room too dark?

I'm a big fan of incorporating gray as my neutral ... I tend to do it very often and I think the white fixtures in the room would really pop nicely against the cement gray. Of course your mosaic would look fantastic against it also.

Btw have you considered incorporating a dark blue into the ceiling paint color ?
