I have thought about painting the island a different color but not sure which one???
I thought maybe a grey, black would be to dark???
As you can see my granite is also my backsplash and my husband is totally against taking it out and replacing it just need to replace the ugly brass outlet cover any idea which color??
And need help choosing cabinet hardware do I choose two different sizes have the knobs on the upper and have bar handle on the lower what finish should I choose I am so confused??

The light over the breakfast table is way too high (and doesn't look like it's centered).

Painting kitchen cabinets is a HUGE job. Not sure you'll feel it was worth it by the time you finish since your kitchen already looks very nice. Here's the whole thing in white:

I see your light is so high you can't reach it to change the bulbs. No problem. I changed the whole thing out for you. You can probably reach it now:

@groveraxle,Yes Grover it is the same house!! The rooms we worked on were the front rooms they are basically finished just waiting on my curtains and chandelier over my dining table.

The chandelier over breakfast table will go as soon as I decide on the finishes on my cabinet hardware.

Thanks for the visual Grover,I tried to leave with the cabinets for a while now just don't like how they look they have a pinkish undertone that really bothers me.

What do you think @Groveraxle,should I go all white or change the island to a different color??

And by the way I have received my fireplace accessories as you suggested it looks beautiful.

gray island all the way, add a little punch if you will! do white outlet covers on the backsplash. do satin nickel pulls for the doors they will blend in nicely.The picture I posted above, look at the pulls on the left upper picture, long would be really nice here.

switch the bench to the other side of the dining table....... i think it will give better balance.im also having a thought about trying the rug from the formal dining underneath the kitchen table?

I think your dining rug is too formal for the breakfast table.

The whit throws off any sense of balance you might achieve. The size and shape of the chair are fine. It's just the wrong colour for the space.

This is how my formal Living room looks today! We have purchased new furniture for the family room and moved everything from family room to formal living which me and my kids use quite often.I am not sure about the console table next to the tv I had it behind the couch anchored under neath the picture but seemed kind of busy,what are your thoughts? looks fantastic! About the tv, and the console. It's the tv stand itself that doesnt fit, I would just eliminate the tall console and that tv stand and go with something a little more formal in that corner. maybe you can use that console in the dining room?

oh, and you can remove some of that extra chain off the light fixture to get rid of all that bulk at the top.

@downbytheriver thank you!! I.pulled that tv stand out of my son's room just to visualize how it would look like to have the tv in the corner wasn't sure if I liked it there,I really like the tv stand you have posted.

The chain I know it's something that's been pushed always back to next weekend have to convince my husband to finally do it.

I 'll try the console in the dining room and see how it looks,I will post pictures when I get home.

wait for the new console, something as simple as a basket with blankets could work, but you may not need anything.

Better without the table. And it will be much better with a corner tv console. But I am kind of sad about the addition of the TV, as a comfy chair at an angle to the left of the fireplace would balance things and make a better seating area.

I will go out this week and look for a new tv stand.I have removed the console and placed it behind the sectional.What do you think downbytheriver?

@barrowp thanks for your suggestion! I would love to place a chair in that corner but there wouldn't be any other space for the tv my husband suggested to put the tv over the fire place but that would be way to high to comfortably watch tv,we need a tv in this room cause my kids like to hang out with there friends here and watch tv or play on there consoles.
