There are several trees within the grass between our sidewalk and the street. My neighbors have a wall of cedars as well. They basically cast shade on entire front yard up to a point where the japanese maple is. We are in east central wisconsin, not far from Lake Michigan, so we have cold and rainy springs, especially rhis year, lots of rain.
