newhosraaddict yup your right, I do have most of them names recorded on a map somewhere, but I still manage to mess it up. So many hosta's out there to drool over and covet, so little room left to squeeze them in. Next year the lancifolia, and unduleta duplicates are going to go, my only hesitation is they are in spots that get much more sun most of the day and they are were not purchased knowing about HXV or were here when I moved in. Have to think about the risk over the winter. ( already spent all the hosta money this year any way)

I believe autumn frost, tokudama something or other I know its slow but we are taking slower then molasses in Jan This is it's second spot, first was much more sun and a cedar bush root competition, this spot three years less direct sun, any suggestions this plant is in and around 6 years and no progress in size. Con't Rainbows end, some small blue, a small lime coloured, wolverine, hanky panky, further down unduleta v, elegans, and ventricsa

The rest of the side bed, the apple green shinny one in front was a gift I can't remember it flowering too little sun I think, but there is a second smaller clump beside it, hmm where did that come from, next might be dream queen or thunderbolt had both, noid dull green very hardy, Robert Frost which after a lot of years is finally getting a chance to grow thanks to the grey fence. The dogs don't get to run over the hosta in this bed. Love the dogs but, they have no respect for my gardens. So happy this year almost everyone is looking so good this year, just wanna show it all off, cause as we all know Mamma nature can take it all away in a second. So now Im off to enjoy my garden hope ya'll are finding some garden joy this year too.
