There are a few that I'm thinking of trying in my succulent mix as they seem to require much less water then most of my other hippeastrum. Chico, May Wonder and 554 are some that seem to sulk when watered even in the hottest weather. I've pulled them from the hippeastrum area and put them with the sansevieria.

The "Chico" Thing reminds me of the fact, that I have lots and lots of F1 and F2 seedlings with respect to it, but "Chico" itself is already "gone" since long. Thank you, Bulb Scale Mites and Red Blotch!

H.cybister - the only available clone of which seems to be "Chico" whereas some people doubt, that the ruby red "Reggae" is even a "true" H.cybister -

is imho a "raw Diamond" in association with another "raw Diamond" namely H.papilio. The hybrids thereof are more stable, they inherited vigor and better capability of producing new roots from H.papilio, and they produce a very conspicuous Bloom.

"Reggae" seems to be a more reliable bloomer, fortunately I DO have 2 bloomable bulbs thereof. Interestingly, when I bloomed it outdoors, the Color was not as deep as I was accustomed to:
