Aiming to update our small bathroom and debating on replacing the bathtub but can't wrap what I can do around my head.

Original bathtub is the corner Vintage style 28" X 65" length X 17" High. Have to consider:
- current tubs are either freestyle, alcove or drop in
- Size of tub to replace it with since its 65 by 28 (longer than typically and narrow then typical).
- Drain is closer to the sink where they placed the shower head on same wall but farther to opposite far wall
- Budget

There is a choice of keeping the tub and just refinishing it but my other half is against it as the maintenance of it afterward isn't ideal (no harsh chemicals, no scrubbing, etc).

Please help... any comments would be greatly appreciated.
