Frame color help !!!

So, I bought the first picture in giclee print. It looks great on wall. Second picture is where I want to put it. 28x28 take it give framed, about 24 or so unframed so I will have a mat. I have also attached the last two pictures to give you a feel of foyer and hallway. Based on what you see in this room with silver and white furnishings and light gray walls, what color frame should I pick for the new print? Thank you.

If you love the print since it's a boxed framed giclee I don't see it as being framed, yet you can certainly pay a fair price to have that done. It's a nice piece, but is it worth it to pay maybe double or triple to have it framed and not leave it as it is?

I would rather see the mirror removed from the piece you have with the lamp as I feel fairly sure it screws in to the back (I presume it's attached with screws on the back as it appears semi vintage/antique) and replace it with a more updated framed mirror perhaps round with a thin metal frame in the appropriate size or art mounted to the wall. This is too large horizontally and makes the piece look like it might go in a bedroom. Without the mirror attached it would be a great piece for an entry area or where ever you have it placed near the stairs..

Porter, that's a new one. Don't frame it ? Lol. You are suggesting I leave it rolled up in a tube to enjoy ? Or perhaps pin it to a wall in true college dorm room fashion ? I like your idea on mirror but what about your suggestion on color for frame because I do plan to frame it. Thx.

Truthfully in this size print there aren't many options other than custom framing. Yes it is expensive but not a lot one can do about that.

So the picture of the print is actually a boxed framed one and that is why Porter mentioned leaving it as is. BTW I agree the piece in the foyer looks like a bedroom piece and the lamp is also too small and looks like a bedroom lamp. The mirror there does not reflect anything worth seeing twice so I would remove it. As for the color of frame use the same color as the other frames in the same space

I frame a lot of art work, and my rule is not to think of the room or space in which the piece will be displayed, but what the artwork needs. If you go to a good framer with an artistic eye, he/she can be a great help, making sometimes unexpected suggestions based on subtle colours in the piece.

A generic option: dark grey (almost black) frame would be safe and fit with the print (from the colours I can see on my screen) and not overpower as a pure black frame might do.

I don't even know what a boxed frame print is. This is just a print on giclee premium paper that came rolled up a tube. Most others have said no to silver frame as it didn't work well with the piece. Thoughts on alternate colors ?

Since you probably will need to have a custom frame, look for a silvery frame with a colored undertone. I just did a wooden one that had a wash of blue. Something like that would complement the print as well as coordinate with the other art.

This is the print you posted on a wood frame... it's a box with the sides of the art wrapped around the wood...

Sorry, I put giclee print in my original post. I just put it on there to show the image. Mine doesn't have a wood frame. Sorry for confusion.
