Big bark nuggets. Is it pine?

Hi guys im thinking about buying a bag of the huge bark nuggets to try and process down to make some 511 mix. The bag doesnt say what kind of bark it is. Its a green labeled bag that says premier bark nuggets and its the same product at lowes and homedepot in Canada. Anybody here tried it? I took a loose piece home with me and tossed it in my blender and it handled it quite easily. I think it will work as long as its dry and i do small batches. I woudnt use my normal blender to do a whole bag though. If i can find me a used blender at thrift shop for dirt cheap i would go ahead and try it.

On a related topic. I bought 2 different brand bags of pine bark mulch eariler this year and both were not right. One bag had about 60 percent wood splinters with maybe 10 percent bark chips. The rest was composted so far it was dirt. The second bag bag was mostly shreaded fiberous material. This is the cambium wood just under the the bark. This probably means they are processing very young trees with a very thin bark layer.
