New tile for bathroom floor

The tile that's on the floor now was in there when I bought the house, but I really don't like it. The tiny tile on the walls are about 1" square and a light gray color. I just can't figure out what tile I should use on the floors that won't make the space look too busy or overwhelm it like the big floor tile are right now.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
