The wall is so thick and heavy and there isn't a drywall behind it. We just dont want to remove it right now because we are planning to open that wall when we can financially afford it in the future. i am debating if we cover it with plywood planks (shiplap look) or paint it with a different color.

Behind the electric outlet isn't painted and that where we saw the original look of the pecky cypress. it is beautiful but it will be too much work to restore it.
