22" should be plenty. a dark bronze is about as good a iron and gives you more choice.

well, it's hard to guess scale, but if that's about twice the height of the current fixtures, I think it would be ok. more than that might get a bit much. you could cut a piece of cardboard and tape it up to get a better sense...

You mentioned that the gutter will be brown, highly recommend changing that to black.

Your new lights look great, major upgrade. In regards to the gutters, you can do nothing, as long as you're not replacing them and leave them as is. Painting the brick is a huge decision. Your home looks attractive now. Yes, you can paint it white, and it will pop, but moving forward it will be to some degree a maintenance issue. You can post the question to paint or not as a poll for additional insight.
