Trex deck color for small deck

I need advice on which trex deck color to use for my deck. I have a small deck in the city and am planning to use trex for both the floor and walls. I'm considering spiced rum for the floor and tiki torch for the walls OR tiki torch for the floor and rope swing for the walls. I really like the richness of the spiced rum but am concerned about using a dark color on a small deck (and that it will show more dirt). Any thoughts???

Hi Keri,

Looks like you've done well with picking out color choices; taking into consideration the exterior of the home. I would do the floor the color closest to your interior floor color so it gives a continual flow between those two spaces. Then for the walls, I would lean towards the lightest color (....rope) to bring out the grout color that is in the brick wall and lighten up the space. Its all about matching with what is already there.

Tiki torch is a beautiful decking color. Just recently did a deck resurface and that was the color of choice. You can take a look here how it looks.

Also, would you recommend doing a different color for the walls than the floor or doing the same color for both?

If I have Jacobean stain on the interior, is the closest trex color Havana gold or spiced rum?

I can only guess, being photos & computers can change the exact color of an item. Your best and safest bet would be to bring those two samples home to see for yourself. (from what I can tell from my computer, your original thought of spiced rum MAY be it.)
