I like to keep statistics on my daylilies and for the past two years I have charted the number of blooms per variety per day, in an Excel spread sheet. The spread sheet has a row for each variety and a column for each day, with the total varieties in bloom and the total flowers in bloom for each day. I just created a graph for each year of the total flowers in bloom per day. Even with all the changes I've made: added nine new varieties; moved many plants to new locations; planted stuff that was in containers - and with numerous seedlings in bloom, and with some doing better than last and others not as well, and with the "season" seeming to start a week earlier than last year, the peak day each year was the same - June 26th.
