Is the butcher block built in or on top of the island and can you provide any info on how to order?

    We ordered the butcher block through the John Boos website. It was one of their standard sizes. We customized the cabinetry to fit around it and it does not attach to anything, so that it can be slid out when the homeowner wants to clean it.
