Great suggestions! Thank you. We have a 35" white apron front kitchen sink. Should I stick with the same color/material or is it ok to do something a little different since this will be a separate coffee bar? Countertop and cabinets will be the same as the kitchen.

I'm always comfortable with mix and match!! You might want to do something that blends very well with the counter you choose; I checked out your other post and with such a tight space right by the door it might be nice to have it disappear rather than stand out.

But actually, just to play devil's advocate, are you sure you need a sink? You mention that your kitchen is small and u-shaped and that your goals are more storage and counter space. A sink there doesn't get you closer to your goals, and it probably won't be onerous to just step from wherever you're drinking your coffee and pop the cup in the dishwasher or sink. You could add some shine with framed art or metallic canisters for your coffee and tea.

PS I love the hutch and table in your original kitchen. It seems like that hutch could easily turn into a coffee station, minus a sink. ;)
