Coretec Plus XL

I found the Houzz site while searching for floor cleaning products. Very interesting reading all the comments about my Coretec Plus Xl floors. Our home has original hardwoods that needed to be refinished. I looked into having that done, concluded that would be a bad choice, money wasted for all the activity in our home, 3 dogs, 2 children, their friends and I board dogs in my home as well. No one wants to walk in the door and take their shoes off, especially my husband in his work boots. I tried a laminate hardwood for 6 years, installed over the original hardwoods with Quiet Walk in between. It was an expensive laminate hardwood, yet didn't hold up. Winter time with the heating made the planks move to expose gaps, any water or urine accident over time caused peeling and discoloration. It also showed scratches, not as bad as real hardwood, but moving furniture certainly did, and permanently. A local flooring guy recommended Coretec. His claims for the perfect, durable floor for my home were accurate! We had the floors installed professionally. They pulled up the laminate and Quiet Walk, installed the Coretec right over the original hardwoods on the main level, and replaced all the upstairs carpet with Coretec as well. The cork bottom is easy on bare feet and paws, and is quiet. The flooring itself has fooled many by looking like real wood. One year later, there are no scratches from dogs running around playing or furniture being moved. The floors have had many a dog accident, muddy paws , the water bowl tipped over, dribbled on, etc etc. I use liquid Swiffer to spot clean, just about every day, and once a week liquid Swiffer ( with the pads) the entire floor area, @2500 sq ft , without any problems to the floors. The matte finish looks the same as the day it was installed. I have 2 friends that liked the flooring so much, they used it as well. One in a large condo, the other in an old farmhouse over a concrete slab. I love the visual in my home- all one floor flowing from room to room, and no need for large rugs and runners. It blends really well with my cherry wood kitchen cabinets and all the wood and leather furniture. Flooring should be functional and worry-free for your home's lifestyle. Coretec Plus XL is a winner!
