No they won't. They're annuals and once they've flowered and set seed the plants will start to deteriorate and die.

Ah, right. I assumed that since the seed pods are still immature I caught them in time and could still induce another flush of blooming, but maybe not. Maybe once it starts looking like even an immature seed pod, you're too late. I should have been monitoring them earlier and deadheaded immediately after the petals fell off.

I guess that raises an interesting botanical question: at what point in the maturation of an annual seed pod can deadheading still offer the potential of inducing new blooms?

I deadhead all the time actually ... when your pods start to die snip them save for seed and new blooms form. Check the pic
