What size barn light?

We are building a 2 car detached garage with the garage doors on the dormer. There will be a window above garage doors. I want to put a barn light there. I have some vintage porcelain barn lights that I want to use and they are quite large. what would be the correct size of barn light for top of window on dormer?

Depend on what type of stem you select, I would think anywhere between 12 -18" in width would be OK.

I have 3 lights. The first one is 21" and the other two are about 18". The window on our garage can be 24"×36" or 18"×30". Now that I measured them, I think they might work. Please send comments. Thanks.

Time to paint the siding. I have chosen Shoji White SW for exterior, Mindful Gray SW 7016. what do you think?

Well I could not find anyone to redo my vintage lights, so I will be buying new. Plan to use the goose neck farm light. Also installing barn lights on outside of both garage doors. Do I need a third light for the middle of garage doors? should the door lights be the same size as gable end light above window?

Another question about lights. The window on the gable end of garage is 24" x 24" + 7" trim. Does the gooseneck barn light shade need to be as wide as window? if not, what size? Thanks.
