They won't produce more flowers. Leave them alone. They need their foliage to build up the corms for next year. If they have nipped off flower stems sticking up you could shorten those.

Re deer eating crocosmia bulbs......We have had a large field of Crocosmia here for many years. Likewise, being on the edge of a Forest Park, we have Fallow Deer here on a daily basis. This year, 2017, for the first time, the deer have become besotted with the crocosmia bulbs. They have completely razed large areas to the ground. They visit in groups, most days, following each others' scent in trails, I think. They munch away at the bulbs, usually at dawn and dusk, and sometimes through the night as well. So far they have not discovered the Lucifer and are only eating the more numerous orange variety. This is the first I have heard of this, and interested to read that someone else has reported it this year

Found my Crocosmia pulled up laying on the ground with bulbs exposed. Figure this happened with the deer trying to eat the blooms or perhaps going after the bulbs themselves.

The deer never bothered my Lucifer Crocosmia before, but this morning the beautiful blooms were carefully nibbled off.

Same with me. I have been replacing daylilies with crocosmia I just planted with beautiful blooms and discovered them chewed up this morning. :(

Same here. I hadn't even planted mine yet and they ate all the emerging flowers and buds right out of the pots. I spray deer repellent on some of my plants and bushes but thought the Crocosemia were safe. After I get off the computer, I'm going to go out and spray everything in sight!
