clueless on where to prune this lemon tree

Was given this lemon tree, grown from a
seed i think. It was given nearly dying, but once i put in my garden it start
to grow again, but with lots of branches. Want it to be shaped like a tree. So
where do I cut? Which is the main branch/ trunk? Please could someone help? Don't want to kill it by doing something wrong. I
am a beginner. Thanks

If it's grown from a seed, you'll just have a nice foliage plant. Don't expect fruit. If that is the case, prune wherever you like....that is, if one branch gets long, cut it back to be more in balance with the others.

If, on the other hand, you hope for fruit, your tree will need to get about 8 feet or more tall before it will bloom. If you chop it back, blooming will be delayed or never happen.

Can't really advise on where to cut because we can't see the whole plant. If you want a 'tree look' -- that is with a single trunk -- then you'll have to eliminate all but one 'trunk' on your plant.

When your seed grown lemon tree looks like that you will get fruit.

You will need to select one main stem to become the trunk. Choose the strongest. Then you can gradually prune the lower side branches but you will have to do it over several seasons. Do not overdo it because the plant needs its foliage to grow. What the others said about fruit bearing.
