They came from Mr Ko's family. 15 Flabellatte seeds 5 Albinos.

Wow! I've never heard of albinos! Do they grow to have all white leaves??

no. there is no chlorophyl to keep them viable, so they starve to death because they cannot conduct photosynthesis ...

They only live about 2 months if lucky, at second set of leaves they start dying due to lack of chlorophyl. All I can do, is look at them everyday until they go to plant kingdoom :)

Some people have successfully grafted these onto regular root stocks but it's not easy at such a tiny tender size. Then they tend to grow very slowly and not very well from what I have read.

If you innoculate with mycorrhizae, it might also be able to leech off the other plants via the fungal network. That's pretty unlikely, but it can happen, like with the albino redwoods.

That might have more to do with the conifer-specific mycorrhizae, but it's always worth a try. Definitely don't pot it up by itself if you're going to try that, it will need either another seedling or an adult plant to leech off of.
