What do i have?

Good morning guys and gals. I had to go to the girlfriends house this weekend to take care of a few honey-do's and had occasion to stop at the Lowe's over in her town. I had not been there before but of course we had to go through the nursery to ck for AV's before we got down to the procurement of nuts and bolts.

We found a nearly full flat of AV's in the nursery section. They were trying to sell them out of the outdoor section of their nursery and needless to say, they were all in pitiful shape. I guess they knew it because they were marked down to $3.29. Of course they were all Optimara noids, nearly all of them being of a distinctly common variety except for two. We had to rescue those two from what appeared to be imminent death by heat!

Here's my question, the whitish one looks a lot like the Opt "Juliana". The dark red one doesn't look like anything on the Opt website.

What do you guys think?

Sorry about the multiple pics but hopefully you get the idea. This red is a "real" red. Yes it is a frog hair darker in life than the pics but very close. I didn't know that Opt had a real red?

I might have answered my own question. Arkansas looks like mine.

Oooh good!! We get to play the Optimara guessing game!! I think Juliana is a good guess for the first. As for the red, hmmm, not North Carolina (doesn't look like the one I had, but I guess it could vary,) not Pennsylvania as it isn't a star. The flower isn't frilled so that leaves out a couple. Sooo, my guess is Arkansas or Scarlet with a leaning towards the first.

Thanks, its always fun to play and those plants are truly nice looking! Yes, I think Optimara offers some nice reds.

Oh, what a lovely AV (Arkansas that is...since I live there)..yeah, I've seen it before.

I think you did well on your accquisitions.

Thanks for the second opinions. Yes, I know, they're noids but I still wanted to know what their names are even if it's not "official". I have to say that this "Arkansas" is more of a red than my powwow and vampires kiss is. Still not the red one I was looking for but (eventually) will look good in the fold. These two have to remain in quarantine until Wednesday and then they will get their little Avid shower along with the rest.
