Should I Let A Stem Grow From The Caudex?

Thats the question. I got 2 adeniums off EBay, Well now I have a new stem starting to sprout from one of the caudexs! It is on my favorite variety, SpiderMan.

Should I let it grow? Or are these caudexs just 'junk' plants? And it will sap the strength from the grafted parts, and deprive my 'SpiderMan' graft of food and slow down its growth??

Or are these caudexs worth growing for the flower they produce? I assume they are not, or they wouldn't be 'caudexs' with grafted varieties on them. BUT i thought I should ask. it is just starting to grow, but it is FAST, it has doubled in 2 days. Opinions?
