It does look healthy & should bloom. The only thing I could suggest, iris don't really like to be planted in mulch. I would scoot the mulch away from the top of the rhizome. Is the rhizome itself fully covered with soil, or did you leave the top of the rhizome above ground? The top of the rhizome should be above ground a little. Some iris can pull themselves down under the soil sometimes & stop blooming.

I did leave the tops above ground a bit. I will move the mulch today. Thank you. So at this point I can't expect them to flower this year, right?

Not likely, but I say that and right now I have Superstition blooming away. It isn't a rebloomer, and it bloomed fine this spring, but I guess all the rain we've had has it confused. If any of yours happens to be rebloomers, you may see some bloom this fall.

Are they getting enough sun? They need at least 6-8 hours of sun a day. I would remove the mulch, expose the top of the rhizomes and then sprinkle a little fertilizer around the iris ( I use 6 12 12).. If this is the 2nd yr, they should bloom next yr if they are happy..
