LIGHT IN MASTER BATHROOM

Good Afternoon
I hope you can help me. We just remodeled our master bathroom. and I need advice as to the size Chandelier
to order for the master bathroom. The hallway into the bathroom is 10feet 2 inches long and 4 feet 8 inches wide. The bathroom is 16 feet long by 15 feet wide with 13 foot ceiling. I am thinking of putting a Chandelier 32 inches wide x 35 inches high or putting in two pendant lights the larger of the two being 26 inches in diameter and the smaller being 19 inches in diameter hanging one higher then the other. My concerns are:
1. What size Chandelier is appropriate for this
room?

2. What are your thoughts regarding hanging two lights at different heights in this room and would the lights be large enough with one being 26 inches in diameter and the other being 19 inches in diameter?

3. What height is the correct height to hang the light(s) with 13 foot ceiling?

I have attached a photo of the bathroom. Unfortunately it is not a great photo but I'm hoping it will help.

Any suggestions you can give me regarding the above questions is greatly appreciated.

Is there a tub? Be aware that at the tub and 3 ft around it, any light fixture is supposed to be 8 ft above tub deck. That's a safety thing. Of course, it's your house... you can do what is pleasing to you.

I'd personally go with a single light unless you have an ultra modern bathroom.

31" diameter and 69" or so from the ceiling mount to the bottom of the chandelier.

So, your calculation of 32" isn't off... just be careful of the height from the floor to the bottom of the chandelier....

Try to post a photo again....I'm sure you've tried and tried... :( as well as a photo of the chandelier you are considering.

I'm loving the second chandelier.... however, it's dark in the space so can't see it well.. Is wood?? Size......

I personally think the orb is a bit understated.... not grand enough with the tub/room. Do you have a second photo of the other chandelier or the name of it so I can search it to see it?

I'll be out all day. Hopefully by later in the afternoon you can tell me the name of the other light... or we can look for another.... however, I don't think the orb is bad, I think you can do better in that bath is all.

Hi Porter,

Yes, the light is wood and it is from Ethan Allen, a very nice furniture store in my area. You can view the light by going to their website which is ethanallen.com

Look under Pendant lights. It is a Large Minetto Wood Pendant light 26 inches in diameter (item #090535). The other is a Small Minetto Wood Pendant light 19" in Diameter (item #090536). They are very pretty. My concern is that it won't look elegant if I hang two of them close together, one a little higher then the other and the largest size is 26" in diameter. I have a large master bathroom and I think the 26" Minetto light is going to be too small. The other Chandelier is from Hudson Valley SKU-6730-PN Dresden 12 Light 30" diameter and 35" height, Polished Nickel.

I love the Minetto, but fear it's a bit too rustic with the room given the wallpaper and all. I'd personally lean toward one single in the proper size that is a tiny bit more formal. You could do a Capiz perhaps. From the EA website the one that strikes me as best with the wallpaper and the room is:

You may be gasping... however, you need to tie in to the wallpaper unless you take it down. This is not terribly busy, but elegant.

The lights as much as I love them don't work with the wallpaper. I'd do a single not two.

Thanks for your suggestion. I think it is very pretty and will look at it. Hopefully I'll be able to get some good pictures to send you once I decide on the Chandelier and the electrician is able to install it. Have a great weekend.
