Are they scratchy/itchy?

Not at all. These chairs are surprisingly very comfortable. This particular chair you are looking at is a smaller chair and looks like a child's chair but it was originally made for adults. It is a replica of an antique chair that the farmers made on the Scottish Isles to keep the warmth wrapped around them sitting in front of the fireplace. There is a larger version (also a replica) that is one of our best sellers and has been featured in national magazines like House Beautiful and Southern Living.
