I never heard of using Comet that way. Interesting.

Iris do need enough sun to flower so moving them was a good idea.

The reason to cut leaves shorter is to prevent the Iris from tipping over and not allow the roots to take hold. If these are in solid enough I don't think you need to cut the leaves. The green is helping to build up the plants and like you said they look good!

However, it looks like they might be planted a little too deep because the tops of the rhizomes should be showing. They benefit from some sunshine on them and too deep can bring on the rot.
