First thing I would do is beef up the columns. They may be structurally sufficient to support the roof but they look very spindly. Next up would be the railing on the balcony. The existing spacing doesn't meet current codes and it looks a bit shabby anyway. After that, paint would be my next step. Find a color that isn't well, so white. When all that is done then replace the lights with something that is more in keeping with the style of the house. Finally rip out the huge overgrown shrubs and do some landscaping. If you can get all the pieces of the house to work together then you'll have a look that is more pleasing.
