I am white washing a fireplace and it has a fireplace box. there was a door on the outside where you load firewood and it opened on the inside to retrieve firewood . she has gas logs so we are turning into part of the fireplace decor. I am posting pictures and I need some advice. the picture from the outside is with the door removed . I am going to put glass (plexiglass glass) on the outside so it will allow more natural light into the living room . I need some suggestions on what I should place on the shelf behind the glass to add to the outside decor
