Designing around ugly dated sink... wall colors?

Help! Picking out paint to help modernize this bathroom. It is the first floor bathroom so will likely get the most use with guests. Would love ideas for what colors for the walls?

The whole house is going to be BM classic gray + white trim and I was thinking to either go dramatic with a darker gray (french gray) or pale green (sea salt) or light green-gray (gray owl), deeper green-gray (beach glass) or stick with off white? The current walls are this crazy glossy peach which I am so eager to get rid of.

I'll be honest, I'm a bit terrified of color-- have never painted anything other than cream or light blue my whole life! Would love any inspiration and advice.

Does your home's art or accessories have a color that might work here? even as towel, etc... why not. :)

Thanks so much for the mock. The gray is a much better difference; think I should stain the cabinets dark or paint it white? Think that might tone down the granit-ey sink? hmmm...

Paint the vanity white, change out the top to a new selection and free yourself. Don't waste a dollar on the paint, until then. : ) It looks to be no more than 42 inches. My bet is you can come up with a remnant at a stone shop for a few hundred bucks. They can even re use your under mount sink........even a pre fab you like, might be available.

If you change out the counter top, please donate it to your local Habitat for Humanity Resale shop. Or at least offer it to someone on craigslist. (That counter top would be a major upgrade to what is in my house right now. )
