I purchased my lime tree back on May 15th from fast-growing-trees. I repotted in the Miracle Gro Citrus soil, I know now that was a mistake. I knew in the first week that was not going to drain well. I did some research and repotted in the 5-1-1 mix. The tree is doing better, but the leaves still curl and yellow. I know that the root ball of the original nursery pot is to wet, when I do moisture probe close to the trunk it shows a wet reading and the 5-1-1 mix toward the edge of the pot it shows good/low moisture readings. I did not clean the original soil off the nursery root ball (I should of!), I thought I just didn't want to stress the tree anymore than necessary. I also thought the original soil would be fine, since it came from the nursery, it looked like a good bark mixture. I have fertilized, I used Osmocote Plus and supplement with Foliage Pro. I know the tree looks nutrient deficient, but I believe with the wet condition of the soil, it makes it hard for the roots to accept the nutrients. I have only watered a handful of times and it also been rainy here, so I have not watered the tree.

My question is, should I repot now, to get that tree out of original root ball mixture? I would like to get it into the gritty mix. Should I wait til Fall? Any other thoughts on the health of my tree?

Just a note, when the tree arrived, it did have a infestation of citrus leaf miner, that I sprayed and seems to have halted any spread of that disease. I also live in Minnesota.
