HelP!! Outdoor Dilemma!!

Hello all and THANKS, IN ADVANCE, FOR YOUR HELP!!

We have a wonderful outdoor space under our house (we live close to the beach). I am wanting to make a comfortable conversational setting as we will be building an outdoor kitchen, complete with grill, frigerator, television, etc..

Finding comfortable and affordable furniture can be challenging.

I picked up all these comfortable pieces at estate sales, salvage places and warehouse decor stores....problem is....it is an eclectic mess!!

Is there any way to make this work plus allow for nice curb appeal?

Thanks, thanks and more thanks!!

What about painting the wicker table? It could be aqua or grey to match the other items.

IMPO that pink clashes w/ the predominant aqua, grey, black & white. I think 4 colors are sufficient, but if I were to choose an accent color, I think I'd pick yellow ochre &/or orange.

& I like symmetry, so I would try grouping the black pieces together - chairs flanking glider, & the 2 white/grey chairs on either side of the wicker chair, facing the black set. Not sure about tables placement - do I spy a matching black side table in the background?

If it were mine, I'd first spray paint the two white chairs black. I'd then either make or have made, cushions for them in a coordinating Sunbrella fabric such as these below (not stripes, but pattered) in aqua/turquoise:

If you did want to go with a pink as your accent color, add a couple throw pillows in one or two coordinating patterns, such as these, to go with the white with aqua ones you already have there:

Hi Trish, there isn't really a way to make it all look cohesive . However, all is not lost. I would keep the sofa, matching chairs, a side table or two and possibly the rug if you are on a tight budget. Then, sell the rest and put proceeds towards some highly rated but inexpensive Overstock pieces and possibly kirkland or Pier1 outdoor pillows.

I would use the"O" tealish side tables (or black options) grouped as a sofa coffee table and sell the one you have. Two tealish tables for $127. The three piece set with two chairs and table is $123 and the five piece set with 27" table $138. Mix in some fun pillows, planters and fun pier1 sale lighting strings.

A close small seating area that doubles as a drink, dining, buffet or card table.
CB2 has some nifty inexpensive planters.

Add a splash of pinky coral with inexpensive outdoor serving pieces (I have actually seen these at the dollar store). The color scheme could be navy-ish, seafoam, black, white and a tic of coral/pink. Coral/pink flowers in a planter would be pretty.

Pier1 has some great sales right now.

This outdoor pillow from Pier1 also comes in black and might be a good blending anchor for the matching to sofa chairs.
After selling some of your existing items you would still have to spend $450 to $500 for all including accessories so I'm not sure if it's something you would want to do. However, since you are such a savvy shopper you might be able to knock a few hundred off by finding matching used on CL cheaper and better quality.

I think you found some great pieces. The only real outlier to me is the coffee table. I'd paint that wicker either black or white (or maybe gray) and then have some colorful pads made for the wire chairs that coordinate with the other pieces and rug. Then add some pillows to the other pieces with that same fabric.

    Maybe something like this?

These are all light duty outdoor fabrics I found http://www.decorativefabricsdirect.com/Indoor_Outdoor_Upholstery_Fabric_and_Drapery_Fabric_s/526.htm

You have three different looks. You do have a large area, so the round wire table and the two chairs with crossed wire backs can go in one grouping, the wicker chair and table in a second, and the turquoise chairs, sofa and glass topped table in a third. To add some unity, I'd spray paint the wicker and wires black to match the turquoise set. But I'd put the three sets in different groupings. When you need more seating in one spot, of course you can move the diverse pieces together.
